Hi. My name is Leona Johnson and I am honored to serve as a representative of the community on the Esko School Board. I am retired, living near grandchildren who attend the Esko Schools, and excited to be involved in helping the school district and community meet their goals of providing outstanding education at an affordable cost. Having worked in Ellsworth, Wisconsin as a K-12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction, an elementary principal, and a high school teacher, I have many years of experience working with students, parents, staff, administrators, community members, and school boards. I have brought in over $4million in federal and state grants to enhance education programs. I also taught Individual and Family Relationships at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and continue to author high school textbooks, including Interpersonal Relationships and Strengthening Family and Self.
Please contact me if you have questions, thoughts, or unique insights from your perspective that can help the school board make informed, relevant decisions that benefit individuals as well as the group as a whole. I look forward to hearing from you. Feel free to email me: [email protected]
