Math Masters

Winterquist Elementary School offers Math Masters to 4th, 5th and 6th graders.  The Math Masters program is based on research concerning the characteristics of mathematically gifted people and the traits of eminent mathematicians.  The program challenges students to use critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities in mathematics, while recognizing academic effort and achievement.  Students meet one time a week to prepare for spring competitions. 

The 6th Grade Competition is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024, and the 4th and 5th grade combined competition is scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024.  

Both competitions will be held at First United Methodist Church at 230 East Skyline Parkway, Duluth, MN.
