Today was a great day for us! We did our morning meeting along
with a review math lesson. We worked with math mountains, partner
houses, and counting on. Then we did a language arts lesson focusing on
vocabulary and punctuation. It was national Punctuation Day yesterday
and we read a fun book called "Exclamation Mark." After this we read a
fictional book about frogs. Then we got into center work. There we met
with the teacher, read-to-someone, did a story starter about 'My
Family," and practiced our robust and sight words.
We had lunch followed by a math lesson where we practiced
counting on by being store owners and buyers. The boys and girls had
wallets with money that they walked around with and 'purchased' items.
They had to give the correct amount of change back.
We had some extra time to finish unfinished work before we went
outside (to make up for not having computer today due to testing). Then
the kiddos went to PE, followed by a read aloud and home! Wonderful day
for us today :)
Tomorrow we are looking forward to another good day, with a substitute teacher in the afternoon.
