Class of 2019 graduationClass of 2019, on behalf of the students and faculty of Esko High School, thank you for sharing your unique accomplishments, your diverse passions, and your special gifts with us.
This class of 91 students led the region in average ACT score--- Thirds highest college entrance exams in EHS history. The Class of 2019--started and finished strong as they’ve topped the Arrowhead region’s 36 school districts in virtually all academic measures each year from 3rd through 11th grade in math, reading, and science on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments.
Members of this senior class, won an array of conference, regional athletic, artistic, and academic titles over their four years at Esko High School, qualifying for state championship competition in cross country, football, basketball, math team, robotics, Destination Imagination, band, choir, trap shooting——and as of the last few days golf, softball and track and field———way to go ladies and gentlemen.
Together, the Class of 2019 earned more than 800 semester credits in our College in the Schools program, saving their parents more than $750,000 in future college tuition. And---as a class they have received, to-date, in excess of 2 million dollars in academic college scholarships from local and national agencies---and their future universities. That is exceptional work for a class of 91 students.

This year alone the Class of 2019 donated over 60 units of their blood to Memorial Blood Center, delivered holiday gifts to 40 Carlton County families in need, provided fall yard work assistance to a few dozen Esko senior citizens, and collectively spent hundreds of voluntary hours tutoring and mentoring elementary students. They built impactful relationships with young Eskomos---their second grade pen pals---through personal letters, and knocked the socks off area business leaders in our capstone mock interview exercise, Imagine It Day.
I have no doubt that their exceptional success will continue at their future colleges, universities, and various educational programs from Madison to Maine— Fargo to Florida and everywhere in between. For next fall 96% of them are enrolled at 4 year universities, 2 year colleges, or are enlisted for military service.
Members of this class have long been focused on the future, and their next steps are sending them across the country—-They’re headed to Fort Lewis, Eau Claire, Minneapolis and Moorhead, and also Salt Lake City, St. Peter, Lacrosse, and Grand Forks. Eskomo Nation is expanding its reaches—-and if you know this adventurous bunch, its no surprise that they have unique journeys planned ahead of them.

The inspiring achievements of the Class of 2019 include front page newspaper headlines, all-state athletic awards, Nationally Renowned Scholarships, cross country musical theater tours, and statewide academic recognitions. This group of 91 soon-to-be-graduates is exemplary and—- their successes—-their lessons—-now reside in our walls permanently.
