Welcome to our web-site.
Hopefully, both parents and students will find this to be a useful tool.
To
let you know a little about myself.....I was born in Duluth and graduated from
Esko in 1990. I continued my education at Hibbing Community College and earned
an Associate of Arts degree in the Spring of 1992. I spent one semester at UW -
Superior before transferring to Valley City State University in North Dakota
where I completed my Bachelor degree (History Ed.)in the Spring of 1995. I began
substitute teaching and working towards a broad field Social Studies degree,
eventually completing that in 1997. I then came back to Esko and substitute
taught here for two years before accepting my first teaching job in the Fall of
1999 in Fosston, Minnesota.
After five wonderful years in Fosston, which
included finding my beautiful wife (Julie )and the birth of our first child
(Rachel), I was able to come "home" to Esko and began living my dream, teaching
at the school that meant so much to me growing up. Since our move here, we have
celebrated the birth of our son (Joseph), which coincidently came on the day of
our homecoming victory over Deer River at Les Knuti Field on October 7, 2005. I
have since completed my Masters degree through Bemidji State. The summer
of 2009 also brought the birth of our third child to our family. Joshua was born on July 2nd.
I have been teaching 10th grade World Cultures and 9th grade American History since I began teaching in Esko. I've also coached at a variety of levels for several different sports (football, basketball, and track). I'm currently the Head Girls Basketball Coach.
Moving here has been a dream come true, I have always been grateful for my time growing up in Esko and am now proud to raise my own family here. |
