Hello,

My name is Katie Wood and I  am very excited to become a part of the Esko school community as the new math interventionist at Winterquist Elementary. My main focus is to support students and help them reach their math goals throughout the school year.

Who is Mrs. Wood?

I have been teaching now for four years. I started out my teaching career in Woodbury and Cottage Grove, MN. There I taught Kindergarten and Third Grade for a year and then Pre-K the following year. After my couple of years teaching in the Twin Cities area where I grew up, I got married to my husband Kevin and moved down to Winona, MN. While living in Winona for a year I taught first grade. After our year in Winona my husband and I decided to relocate do to his career so we decided that the Duluth area would be a wonderful place to settle down. We are now living in Duluth, MN and I am loving all of the outdoor adventures this area has to offer. I love staying active though running, biking, hiking, and yoga which I enjoy using in the classroom as well.
