Hello, everyone. I'm Mrs. Baird.  I grew up and went to college in Duluth, where I still live with my husband, our happy little boy, and our energetic dog.  We enjoy hiking, camping, jogging, and sightseeing.  We also love watching football and hockey, and going to Twins games.  Since having our son, we really just love staying home and playing with him, too!

I taught kindergarten here at Winterquist in 2008-2009 and then moved up to first grade where I've been ever since.  I love teaching first grade because the children learn SO much in just nine short months.  There's a lot more work to get through than in kindergarten, but the students show they can do it and they're always so proud of themselves!  I'm very lucky that I get to share my love of learning with some wonderful 6- and 7-year-olds. I have some great ideas to make this school year happy, fun, and full of learning!
